Where forced entry actually happens

Almost nobody breaks the door. They break the frame.

A standard strike plate is held by two three-quarter-inch screws into soft jamb material, and it fails in one kick regardless of how solid the door is. Upgrading the door without addressing the frame, strike, and hinges buys you very little.

We reinforce the whole assembly — solid core slab, reinforced jamb, extended strike plate with three-inch screws into the framing stud, security hinges, and multi-point locking where it makes sense.

Straight answer on what a door can and can't do

A reinforced entry defeats the most common method of forced residential entry, which is kicking the frame. It won’t stop someone determined to break a window. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling.

What it does is remove the fast, quiet, low-effort way into your house — and that’s the one people actually use.
